Summary:
The Demand & Supply Director owns LATAM forecasting, S&OP, procurement strategy, production planning, and the alignment of planning activities between the U.S. and Mexico. This role leads end-to-end demand and supply operations across all channels, ensuring accurate forecasting, efficient production scheduling, optimized inventory levels, and seamless cross-border coordination. The Director is responsible for building regional capabilities, driving strategic alignment, and delivering the planning structure needed to support high-growth operations in Mexico and LATAM.

Responsibilities:
Demand Planning & Forecasting
Lead the S&OP process for LATAM, aligning demand, supply, capacity, and financial plans across the region.
Forecast demand across key channels including Amazon MX, Mercado Libre, DTC MX, and wholesale.
Develop SKU-level forecasts with high accuracy, incorporating trends, seasonality, promotional cycles, and channel behavior.
Analyze forecast variances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
Supply Planning & Production Alignment
Translate demand plans into factory production plans, ensuring capacity alignment and efficient scheduling.
Manage raw material planning and purchasing to support uninterrupted production.
Coordinate closely with manufacturing teams to maintain balanced production loads and minimize operational bottlenecks.
Align with U.S. planning teams on global production plans and cross-border inventory flows.
Inventory Management & Optimization
Build and execute inventory strategies for all LATAM channels, balancing service levels, working capital, and operational constraints.
Monitor inventory levels across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to support fulfillment and reduce excess/obsolete stock.
Ensure accurate inventory reporting and reconciliation in partnership with Finance and Operations.
S&OP Leadership
Lead monthly S&OP reviews, presenting demand trends, supply risks, and scenario planning to senior leadership.
Facilitate alignment across Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement, and U.S. HQ.
Own scenario modeling, capacity planning, and risk mitigation recommendations.
Analytics, Systems & Dashboards
Build dashboards to track demand accuracy, capacity utilization, inventory performance, and planning KPIs.
Implement planning tools and improve data visibility across ERP/MRP platforms to enhance decision-making.
Drive digital transformation initiatives to strengthen forecasting and planning capabilities.
Team Leadership & Development
Build and lead the LATAM supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Provide coaching, development, and strategic direction to planning, inventory, and purchasing teams.
Process Improvement & Strategy
Identify inefficiencies across the end-to-end supply chain and lead initiatives to optimize forecasting, planning cycles, and fulfillment.
Support long-term expansion, capacity strategy, and product lifecycle planning across LATAM markets.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Masters degree in business management, supply chain or related field.
- CSCP, CPIM, CLTD Desired.
10+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, S&OP, or integrated supply chain leadership.
Strong analytical and forecasting skills; deep understanding of manufacturing workflows, inventory, materials management, and purchasing.
Experience leading regional S&OP processes and working with U.S.-based planning teams.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel; experience with demand planning tools is a strong plus.
Strong communication skills, leadership presence, and the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-accuracy outputs in dynamic environments.
