Location: On-Site at NEW Gymreapers HQ in Nampa, ID (20 mins outside of Boise, ID)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM (flex according to business needs)

Reports To: CEO

Job Summary:

The Director of International owns the full international business and P&L. This is a general manager role responsible for scaling Gymreapers’ international presence across Amazon, DTC, and wholesale channels.

International revenue currently represents a low single-digit percentage of total company revenue. This role exists to scale international revenue to a turn Gymreapers into an international brand over time through disciplined execution, market expansion, and team leadership.

Core Responsibilities

International P&L Ownership

  • Own revenue, margin, advertising efficiency, and contribution margin across all international markets
  • Set market-level growth targets and operating budgets
  • Drive international revenue growth as a percentage of total company revenue
  • Manage FX exposure, landed cost, and margin performance by region
  • Report monthly on performance vs plan to executive leadership

Market Expansion Strategy

  • Define and execute international expansion strategy by market tier:
    • Tier 1: UK/EU, Canada, Germany
    • Tier 2: Mexico, Australia, Japan
    • Tier 3: Middle East, India
  • Prioritize markets based on ROI, operational complexity, and growth potential
  • Establish repeatable market entry playbooks with clear performance benchmarks

Amazon International

  • Own all international Amazon marketplaces and performance
  • Manage:
    • Listings, pricing, A+ content, and Brand Registry
    • Sponsored Ads strategy and execution
    • Inventory planning and FBA inbound
  • Optimize blended and market-level TACOS
  • Launch and scale Pan-EU FBA and cross-border programs
  • Coordinate with US Amazon leadership to share best practices and ensure clean swim lanes

International DTC

  • Launch and scale international DTC storefronts via Shopify Markets
  • Own localized checkout, shipping, and customer experience
  • Drive international DTC revenue growth as a percentage of total company revenue
  • Manage market-level paid media strategy and performance
  • Evaluate, onboard, and manage international 3PL partners

International Wholesale & Retail

  • Identify, negotiate, and onboard international wholesale and retail partners
  • Build long-term wholesale expansion roadmap by region
  • Own distributor performance, forecasting, and sell-through
  • Coordinate inventory allocation and replenishment planning

Advertising & Growth Management

  • Own international advertising budgets and performance
  • Set and manage performance targets for:
    • TACOS
    • ROAS
    • CAC
    • Contribution margin
  • Allocate spend dynamically based on market-level returns
  • Maintain disciplined spend with clear ROI accountability

Operations & Cross-Functional Leadership

Fulfillment & Logistics

  • Partner with Operations on international fulfillment strategy
  • Optimize FBA inbound, 3PL utilization, and shipping efficiency
  • Reduce landed cost and improve inventory turns
  • Manage customs, duties, and international shipping requirements

Product & Compliance

  • Partner with Product on international assortment strategy
  • Ensure products meet regional regulatory, labeling, and safety requirements
  • Coordinate packaging, sizing, and market-specific product needs

Team Building & Leadership

  • Build and lead the international team
  • Hire initial team members and scale headcount in line with growth
  • Define clear roles, KPIs, and accountability structures
  • Develop repeatable operating processes and reporting cadences
  • Foster a high-performance, ownership-driven culture

Performance Metrics

  • International revenue growth rate
  • International revenue as a percentage of total company revenue
  • Market-level contribution margin
  • Blended and market-specific TACOS
  • Number of active international markets
  • International DTC growth rate
  • Team performance and operating efficiency

Required Experience

Must-Have

  • 7+ years in ecommerce, marketplaces, or international expansion
  • Proven experience scaling international revenue through owned execution
  • Deep expertise in international Amazon marketplaces
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership and accountability
  • Experience building and leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of international logistics and fulfillment
