OVERVIEW
Gymreapers is building Gymreapers TRAIN, a cutting-edge digital performance platform that delivers premium training programs, elite coaching content, competitive challenges, and community-driven performance experiences.
We are seeking a Director of Digital Programming who will play a critical role in architecting, launching, and scaling the TRAIN platform. You will own product strategy, content development, coach partnerships, challenge operations, and cross-functional execution to ensure TRAIN sets the standard for performance digital programming in the strength and fitness industry.
This role demands strategic leadership, deep fitness industry expertise, product ownership, and the ability to operate with velocity and precision in a high-growth environment.

Product & Programming Strategy
- Define the TRAIN product roadmap including program formats (eBooks, subscriptions, on-demand plans, seasonal challenges).
- Establish performance, engagement, and growth metrics to drive product decisions and quarterly goals.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Ecommerce, Design, Tech) to align programming launches with brand campaigns and gear drops.
Program Development & Quality
- Oversee the design and production of high-quality training content with metrics, video, deliverables, and coach guidance.
- Maintain editorial and performance standards for all programming across platforms.
- Manage version control, updates, and quality assurance for active programs.
Partnerships & Talent
- Identify, recruit, and manage elite coaches, athletes, and subject matter experts to contribute programming and thought leadership.
- Lead contract negotiations, collaboration models, and ongoing performance evaluation with partners.
Challenge Lifecycle Management
- Architect competitive challenges — entry management, scoring systems, leaderboard design, challenge rules, and prize structures.
- Ensure smooth end-to-end execution with clear communication, tech support, and participant engagement strategies.
Platform & Technology
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of third-party platforms (e.g., TrainHeroic, BTWB) and lead eventual custom product development.
- Partner with engineering or external vendors to define product requirements, feature enhancements, and integrations.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Partner closely with Marketing and Growth to craft campaign assets, messaging, and launch calendars tied to programming.
- Brief creative teams and ensure on-brand visuals and positioning for TRAIN offerings.
- Provide weekly or monthly updates and strategic reporting to executive leadership.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required
- 5+ years of experience with digital product or programming leadership within the fitness, sports media, or training sector.
- Demonstrated ability to own product roadmaps, launch digital offerings, and scale recurring revenue models.
- Deep knowledge of strength sports ecosystems (powerlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFit, weightlifting).
- Strong operational execution and project management skills.
- Proven track record recruiting and working with top coaches and content creators.
- Exceptional communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
Preferred
- Experience leading subscription-based or performance-training products.
- Familiarity with training platforms such as TrainHeroic, BTWB, TrueCoach, or other digital delivery systems.
- Data-driven mindset with comfort using analytics to shape strategy.
- Background in fitness media, challenge operations, or competitive event programming.
