Job Summary:

The Demand Analyst role is responsible for analyzing data across various sales channels to identify demand signals and trends, relaying this information to the demand planning and buying teams. With a focus on channel-specific performance metrics, forecasting, and sales-through analysis, the Demand Analyst drives strategic decisions to optimize inventory management, reduce stockouts, and align with business goals. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a data-driven environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret data from multiple sales channels (e-commerce, retail, Amazon, etc.) to identify demand patterns and forecast needs.
  • Monitor sales performance, stock-to-sales ratios, and seasonal trends to relay actionable insights to the demand planning and buying teams.
  • Create and maintain channel-specific reports that highlight key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales-through rates, inventory turns, and stockout rates.
  • Collaborate with the buying team to ensure inventory levels align with demand forecasts by channel.
  • Partner with the merchandising team to optimize product placement and inventory allocation for each channel.
  • Work with operations and customer experience teams to identify and resolve inventory-related issues that impact sales or customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate regularly with sourcing and product development teams to address gaps in supply.
  • Support strategic inventory management goals, ensuring financial responsibility for inventory levels across channels.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to visualize channel performance trends for key stakeholders.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, demand planning, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI; experience with ERP systems like NetSuite is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to present data findings effectively to cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Amazon Seller Central, retail supply chain management, and direct-to-consumer logistics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the apparel industry or merchandising is a plus.
